Have a lot of work to do. Meanwhile, check out this adorable post at Frum Satire. They need to spell Metallica right, though.

Mike Patton Can\’t Wait to Come To Israel – check that video out.
Patton’s band Mondo Cane will be brought to Israel this Tuesday night, August 3 to Raanana by Alive Productions. Buy tickets here.
Noa “Ramone” Grayevsky took awesome photos of the Summer Carnage festival in Tel Aviv that took place July 21 and included Israeli bands as well as Belgium/Israel’s Aborted (Century Media). Check those photos out here on Facebook.
Summer Carnage is a Shay Shalibo Production – new guy on the promoting scene, much luck to him.
Johnny Rotten will be playing the Heineken Music Conference in Tel Aviv on August 31, garnering a lot of ire for purportedly supporting Israeli politics by appearing on an Israeli stage.
In reference to the bozos who seem to think every musician needs be held sway to the anti-Israel agenda: “I really resent the presumption that I’m going there to play to right-wing Nazi Jews,” he tells the Independent. “If Elvis-fucking-Costello wants to pull out of a gig in Israel because he’s suddenly got this compassion for Palestinians, then good on him. But I have absolutely one rule, right? Until I see an Arab country, a Muslim country, with a democracy, I won’t understand how anyone can have a problem with how they’re treated.”
Read the entire Independent interview here.
And here he says, “Of course, there are all sorts of terrible politics going on down there but there is just about all over the world,†Lydon said, in an interview with 6 Music. “You cannot separate yourself from your audience because of the political powers-that-be. I mean, I’m anti-government—I have been all my life no matter where I go—and I shall be making that loud and clearly proud once I’m in Israel.”
But Johnny Rotten, real name John Lydon, makes it clear on his website that “I will play to the people. I don’t play to the Government of anything… I’m playing to human beings, and to deny me that right and turn music into some kind of political joystick is quite repulsive to me, and really, really wrong.”
“And hello, Arab countries you ain’t inviting me. I’ve got no prejudices playing both sides of those borders…”
ISRAEL: Metal Israel
Ghost Bike – Ghost Writer
Jerusalem, Israel’s Ghost Bike will take you on an ambient trip-hop via the vehicle of dub-influenced electronica, spinning your mind in sonic circles with aural tales of dark, intense emotion. Diverse musical elements like Middle Eastern chants and beats mix with spooky haunted house effects and everything in between to create this sonic tapestry. Some Hollywood producer in need of a soundtrack should pick this stuff up.
Ynet reports that HaYarkon Park on September 28 will be doused in Ozzfest with bands including Korn…
My Facebook friend Shuki Weiss (anyone can be his friend, heh) is going to release the names of the other bands shortly – this event could bring thousands of people across the region to Tel Aviv. Motley Crue is confirmed by Raven Metal’s Yishai Sweartz not to be one of them, however.
There have been attempts to brainwash the Osbournes against Israel and induce Ozzy not to play by e-mail admonishments and forum spam. But Sharon Osbourne, G-d bless her and may she have continued health, stated “we believe that music is beyond politics, and we do not take part in this.” This is perceived as a joyous nose thumb to the racists who have badgered the Osbournes.
A few other wimpy, sanctimonious whiny little ‘artists’ have fallen prey to becoming political puppets, but not Ozzy! Ozzfest in Israel will only prove to cement the loyalty of throngs of Israeli and Jewish fans to the Osbournes. I, for one, intend to buy some merch if we can’t G-d forbid be in Israel at the time of the show.
And that’s a HUGE G-d forbid.
In any case, the Ozzfest village as seen across America is going to be staking its claim in HaYarkon Park, the thing is going to be freaking huge, costing an investment of almost $2 million and worth every penny, and it’s a historical moment. \m/ Tickets are 325 NIS, soon to be 425 NIS. VIP packages including an actual seat, T-shirt and luxury accommodations (what, free pita and hummus?!) will cost 1,100 NIS. Ribono shel olam.
Join the official Ozzfest Tel Aviv Facebook page here.
…you know it would be so cool if they made sukkot instead a tents in that village/merch section they’re gonna put up…
Oleg is one of the best concert photographers in Israel. His galleries include shows from Metallica, Korpiklaani, Finntroll, Swallow the Sun, Katatonia, Rotting Christ, Gogol Bordello and even someone whose bodyguard worked for Madonna. Check them out here.
A Facebook group has been started to counter the Arab/Arabist pressure beginning to mount on the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, in order to cancel his much anticipated gig in Israel on September 28.
See Ozzy’s video greeting to Israeli fans here.
Wimpy acts such as The Pixies and The Klaxons have already done Israeli fans the injustice of mixing politics and music by canceling their recently scheduled performances, succumbing to leftist and Islamic pressures.
Hopefully, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne will not be slaves to this idiocy and refuse to be dictated to by people with a political agenda.
Please use the links to the aforementioned forum as well as the links below to contact Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne on their official Twitter pages to support Ozzy’s Israel performance. Give the Osbournes the personal impetus to say “Fuck off” to these evil people who want to use them as tools to further their own political gains:
And here is a message to all those who would harm Israel:
