Mens Rea are what they say they are: old school, hard rock n’ roll with an edge. For those of you from New York, the music is pretty enough for K-rock to play while old (and new) school WSOU could rock it as well. They played a short set comprised of tracks from their recent demo. Their cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid” packed the floor in front of the stage with rowdy headbangers, many of whom stayed at attention for the remainder of their set. They’re a great bar band… hell, even Old Friend owner Alex was tapping his feet. If you get a chance to see them, go.
