Report: RAMMSTEIN Linked To Desecration Of Israeli Synagogue – May 4, 2006
Jerusalem Post is reporting that RAMMSTEIN — “the name of a German heavy metal band who some associate with neo-Nazism” — was spray-painted on the floor of the Great Synagogue in Petah Tikva (a city in the west of the Center District of Israel, north-east of Tel Aviv), which was broken into and desecrated on Thursday morning (May 4).
The perpetrators drew swastikas on the walls, on the ark and on Torah Scrolls.
They also wrote “Hitler” on the doors of the synagogue and flung the contents of the ark onto the floor.
They covered every Jewish symbol with spray paint and drew the symbol of a known devil worship cult on the synagogue’s walls.
Detectives took photographs and fingerprints from the scene and police are investigating the incident.
This was not the first time that vandals had desecrated the 100-year-old synagogue.
In July 2005, the government opposed a proposal by Shinui MKs to strip individuals engaged in neo-Nazi activities of their citizenship.
The bill was submitted following reports of non-Jewish Russian-speaking immigrants who have become involved in neo-Nazi activity in Israel.
Earlier that year a Russian-born IDF soldier with a swastika tattoo on his left arm, who admitted to maintaining contacts with neo-Nazi groups abroad, was arrested in Ariel. His mother was also detained for questioning after she spoke of her hatred for Israel and expressed support for neo-Nazis.

whats funny is that the most anti religious anti jewish party except the arab ones of course were the ones who tried to get that bill passed, probably because the leader Tommy lapid (y’s) was a Holocaust survivor
maybe if shinui had concentrated on things like that rather than trying to mess with the religious they would have been better off

What makes you think these were Arabs necessarily?
Do you know how many non-Jews — many from Eastern Europe — that Israel lets in under its currently pitiful “Law of Return”? I’d believe it from one of them before I’d believe it from an Arab. So many non-Jews were let in from former Soviet republics with fake conversions it’s not even funny.
Plus, they’re saying this is the fault of Israeli neo-Nazis. The fact that that’s even a TERM pisses me off.

As a citizen of this town (of which the writer of this article has little to no idea of where it’s about), I can tell you I know whom done the deed and the fact that their father (and not mother) are the Jew in the family doesn’t make them “unworthy of being here” and of course, not a legitimation to prosecute all half-Jews and non-Jews living inside Israel’s borders (since in most cases they contribute to this land more than some Jews.
If I’m not wrong, the committers of the act were arrested last week (nothing to do with the swastikas drawn on a school in Petah-Tiqva, 2 different cases). We’re talking about 15-17 year old tards who were trying to be rebels. There are no “REAL” neo-nazis in Israel, just braindead idiots, face it. Ya’ll have that Jewesh-Paranoya.

i don’t think this is just a matter of Holocaust survivors being hurt- any Jewish person with a little bit of self respect should be outraged. And this can’t be looked at as simple teenage rebellion. Obviously someone who says that just doesn’t want to deal with the real problem.

I agree, that those who profess the nazi ideology inside Israel should be deported back to wherever the hell they came from. Especially if their family (mother,father..) support such views.

Rammstein members have said clearly that they are not Neo Nazis so why are people still identifying them as nazis??? People who think hitler was great and all that stuff are totally stupid and so are people who accuse others of being nazis just because of their nationality. They have tried to make all the lyrics of their songs unoffending to others and what do they get in return? This type of crap! It really makes me sick that these ********* are still associating the band with neo nazism!

Rammstein has nothing in common with national socialism. They aren’t even to be associated with nationalism. I agree with those in the commentary here, that it seems enough to be born german to be the bad. What has to be clearly said is that what they make is poetry, that plays with all ground basing feelings of human beeing. And, of course, they address “the other side” of life. I think most of those that connect Rammstein to any nazi shit are either just biased (as especially german antifa is) or their incapability for the german language stops them from real understanding for the poetry of till lindemans lyrics.

Check out the ‘Dancing with Nazis’ blog. I dig Rammstein musically too but the dude has a point that they flirt with a lot of Nazi symbols. I don’t know if they do it because they have neo-Nazi sympathies or to shock people (metal bands…shock people?), but they do like to play with the symbolism. What is absolutely hilarious about the neo-nazi’s love for Rammstein is that they don’t even know that Till Lindemann’s mother is Jewish. If someone spray-painted Brad Pitt’s name on a synagogue floor, would that “link” him to the crime? This article’s title is disgustingly misleading and intended to make Rammstein look bad. Anyway, besides that it’s very unfortunate that this happened, and I wish whoever was harmed will be reimbursed or find some sort of compensation for this incident.
