According to Blabbermouth

Long-running Israeli death metallers SALEM have finalized the track listing for their new album, “Necessary Evil”, due in Europe on June 4 via Season of Mist (one day later in North America). According to the group, the new material is “modern, dark, highly unique” and “heavier” than their previous efforts. The follow-up to 2005’s “Strings Attached” will include a 27-minute piece entitled “Once Upon a Lifetime Parts I – V”.

Betzefer Striking Thunder with Andreas Kisser

What’s really awesome about this, is that Betzefer is living their dream, and it does my heart good to see them so happy. 😀 It should only get better and better, and people should look up to them the way that they look up to the person they are sharing the stage with.

Megadeth to Play Israel July 2, 2007

MEGADETH will perform in Tel Aviv, Israel on July 2. The show will mark the band’s first appearance in Israel since June 2005 when the group’s performance at the Metalist Festival was stopped after only four songs due to the crowd’s rowdy behavior (whateeeeeeeeeeever).

According to Ynetnews.com, MEGADETH’s June 22, 2005 concert was cut short after stage barricades fell into the audience. Police instructed the crowd to exit the grounds and ended the Metalist Festival earlier than scheduled.

Thanks Yoni Harold for telling me and Blabbermouth for giving me what to copy n paste…even though it was 5 songs, not 4 according to Matanya “Lemmy” Keller.

Whoa, hoh! This just in, again from Blabbermouth – I love Dave Mustaine for this.

The gothic metal masters from Manchester are returning to Tel Aviv for one show. They will play on Motzei Shabbat, May 12 2007 at the Barby in Tel Aviv, presented by ICP Concerts.

Their career began 17 years ago. They’ve sold almost 2 million albums and “The Enemy”, to be released April 13th, is the single from their newest release, “In Requiem.” Says lead vocalist Nick Holmes, “We wanted to make the heaviest album of the band, but it was important to us to also write songs that (display?) the melodies that have become an intergral part of the music we’ve been making for the past ten years.”

Helicon Records, distributors of the album here, are working to hasten the release of the album here so that this show can be the first international show in honor of the album.

Last time they played in Israel was in 1996, to a crowd of 2000.

Thanks for the kudos Blabbermouth – whee, you wrote Motzei Shabbat, kavod.
For more of a history on the band visit http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=69019

Read it in Hebrew here….thanks to the promoter, Lior Kamali of ICP Concerts.

Rob Zombie’s Nazi Trailer

by skazm // March 15th, 2007
Mischief

According to Richard Johnson’s Page Six of the New York Post, Rob Zombie’s recently directed a fake trailer to be shown during the intermission of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s new gorefest films, “Grindhouse”.

The trailer, for a fictitious film entitled “Werewolf Women of the SS”, depicts “a cute, topless girl roughly tied down on a table by evil female Nazi experimenters who begin draining her blood and, as she screams in agony, they brand her like livestock with a coal-hot steel swastika. And every girl in the Nazi concentration camp is topless.”

Funny, my great-aunt was experimented on by the Nazis. She never mentioned anything like that.

Sounds like the scraggly Rob Zombie needs to get a coal-hot steel pitchfork shoved in his skull…rectum…no difference.

Again I ask the public, should Jews buy or even listen to the music of people who are like this?
